Who We Are
FATHER SON RUN BUSINESS
Gold River Lodge is located on the wild and scenic mouth of the Klamath River. The lodge was custom built in the summer of 2007 by Jim Bansemer (retired owner of esteemed Sacramento based Bansemer Homes Inc.) and his family. Klamath stole Jim’s heart at a young age. After vacationing/fishing here throughout the year for three decades he finally moved to the area full time in 1998. Jim has a lifetime of experience on the river and finds his joy sharing his home with all of his guests.
Jim’s son Kenton Bansemer runs the business and is the head guide out of the lodge. Having grown up in the area, Kenton has exceptional knowledge and intuition about the Pacific, the Klamath and the area in general. Kenton is a US certified captain and has an absolute passion for being on the water. Following in the footsteps of his dad he wants to make sure guests are able to see all of the beauty that this special place has to offer, all while maintaining the highest level of service.
Jim and Kenton offer one-of-a-kind hospitality, in a one-of-a-kind location. There is truly no where on earth like the Gold River Lodge, and no where on earth as majestic as where the river meets the ocean in the Pacific Northwest.
Our Lodge was built with you in mind. Our hospitality and amenities were designed to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
